Kai Pino Named 2nd Place National Winner in Americanism Essay Contest

Phoenix Elks Lodge #335 celebrates a national honor for one of its young essayists.

Phoenix Elks Lodge #335 is especially proud to recognize Kai Pino, who was selected as the 2nd Place National Winner in the Elks Americanism Essay Contest. This is an outstanding accomplishment and a tremendous honor not only for Kai, but for our Lodge and community.

Achievements like this demonstrate the impact the Lodge’s youth programs have and why they remain such an important part of what we do. Exalted Ruler Clint Tompkins shared the news as the Lodge kicked off a May full of youth-focused activities, beginning with Youth Week from May 1 through May 7.

Kai’s achievement — along with the Lodge’s scholarship recipients — will be celebrated at the annual Scholarship and Americanism Essay Awards Dinner on Sunday, May 3 at 5 p.m. at the Lodge. Questions may be directed to Scholarship Chair Al Kayal at (602) 451-8413.
