Exalted Ruler Olson gave his report on the Grand Lodge convention sessions. It was Horace Wisely of Salinas, California, who was chosen over Cy Krimser of Ohio for Grand Exalted Ruler. Phoenix Lodge was proud to have the National Leadership winner in C. Edgar Humphrey of West Phoenix High and other Grand Lodge awards, including Newspaper Week, Youth Week, and Flag Day Program. Olson also noted a rumor that Phoenix was in the top five for the Grand Lodge Ritualistic Contest.
That rumor was finally confirmed: Phoenix Lodge achieved the top ranking, winning First Place in the Grand Lodge Ritual Championship. Four officers were chosen All American:
Other members of the team included:
Eugene A. O’Neill, Chaplain;
Glenn W. Griffin, Inner Guard;
Harry E. Horn, Candidate;
