More than 72 years of giving through the Elks Children’s Shopping Spree
For generations, the Phoenix Elks Lodge No. 335 has brought Christmas cheer to underprivileged children in our community. What began decades ago as the Lodge’s Annual Yule Party has grown into the beloved Phoenix Elks Children’s Shopping Spree, helping thousands of children over the years.
📰✨ On December 17, 1953, the Phoenix Gazette shared the story of Phoenix Elks Lodge No. 335 hosting its annual Yule Party for underprivileged children. That year, 200 boys and girls from across Phoenix were treated to:
Buses were arranged to bring children from all over the city, ensuring no one was left out of the holiday joy. ❤️
This cherished snapshot reminds us how deeply the Elks have always cared for children and families in our community. A tradition of love, generosity, and Christmas spirit that continues to define Phoenix Elks Lodge #335. 🦌🎄
Today, the tradition continues through the Children’s Shopping Spree, where over a hundred children each year are able to shop for clothing, shoes, and essentials they may not otherwise have. Over more than seven decades, this has meant life-changing support for thousands of Phoenix families.
“Over 6,000 kids in Phoenix have been helped”
