Elks Roll Up Their Sleeves: Last-Minute Blood Drive Collects 11 Units
Submitted by Becky Simons, Blood Drive Chair
In August, our Lodge once again showed what Elks are all about — stepping up when there is a need.
A last-minute Red Cross blood drive was held at the Lodge on August 19 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., and even with short notice, our members came through in a big way. Thanks to everyone who took the time to donate, the drive collected 11 additional units of blood for the Red Cross.
Every donation can make a meaningful difference, and we are so grateful to the Elks and community members who showed up to support this important cause.
Our next Red Cross blood drive will be held on October 7. Our Lodge typically collects between 25 and 30 units of blood, and we would love to see another strong turnout.
If you are able to donate, please consider joining us on October 7 and giving the gift of blood. It only takes a little time, but your donation could help save a life. Come one, come all — and help our Lodge continue making a difference in our community.
