Charity Ball 2026 — Mardi Gras Celebration
Submitted by Clint Tompkins, Esteemed Leading Knight
On February 7, the Lodge was transformed into a vibrant Mardi Gras celebration as members and guests gathered for our annual Charity Ball. The Lodge was beautifully decorated in festive purple, green, and gold, creating an atmosphere full of energy, tradition, and fellowship. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear the evening would be both joyful and meaningful.
Many embraced the Mardi Gras spirit with colorful attire, beads, and masks, adding to the festive setting. The highlight of the entertainment was the incredible 16-piece band Forever Young, whose lively music kept the dance floor full all evening and brought everyone together in celebration.
At the heart of the evening was our shared commitment to supporting local students. Through gift baskets donated by members and community businesses, the event raised an estimated $10,000 for scholarships, helping students pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals. Adding to the excitement, London Gold, The Estate Watch & Jewelry, and Hamra Jewelers generously donated items for a live auction, raising additional funds for this important cause.
In addition to celebrating our community and raising funds, the evening also marked the introduction of our incoming officers for the coming Lodge year. Guests had the opportunity to meet the dedicated men and women who will lead our Lodge in the year ahead, continuing our mission of charity, community service, and fellowship. Their commitment and enthusiasm promise another year of impactful programs, events, and service for our members and the wider community.
A heartfelt thank you to London Gold, The Estate Watch & Jewelry, Hamra Jewelers, and all of the businesses and members who donated gift baskets, auction items, and contributions to support the Charity Ball. Your generosity made the evening a success and reflects the true spirit of charity that defines our Lodge.
The evening wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, officers, trustees, and P.E.R.’s, whose hard work ensured every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and helped create such a memorable celebration. Together, we truly showed the strength and heart of the Elks.
Laissez les bons temps rouler!
