DDGER Vicki Way Visits Lodge #335 — Inspection Earns 15 of 17 Perfect Marks
Submitted by Clint Tompkins, Exalted Ruler
October brought an important visit to Phoenix Elks Lodge #335. On October 1, District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler Vicki Way came to the Lodge for her official visit, accompanied by her husband, Mike, and by her Esquire, Brad Lucas, and his wife, Yvonne.
The Lodge received an outstanding overall rating on the inspection checklist, with 15 of the 17 items receiving perfect marks and two more earning “Above Average” ratings.
“I guess there is always room for improvement,” Exalted Ruler Clint Tompkins noted, “or perhaps we just need to keep the Exalted Ruler’s chair under closer supervision!”
Joking aside, a result like that does not happen by accident. The visit reflected the hard work and dedication of the Lodge’s officers and members, and thanks go to everyone who helped prepare for the evening and represented Phoenix Lodge #335 so well.
Esteemed Leading Knight Tyler Vanwey added his own thanks to DDGER Way and Esquire Lucas for taking the time to visit and to recognize the work Lodge members do. Visits like these are a reminder of the importance of staying involved, supporting our communities and continuing the great traditions of the Order.
