Annual Kids Easter Egg Hunt Welcomes 150 Guests

The Elks Kids Committee proudly hosted its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 28th, bringing together families from across the community for a morning of celebration, tradition, and fellowship. This year’s event welcomed 45 participating children, and with parents, grandparents, and supporters in attendance, the gathering reached an impressive 150 guests.

The morning began with warm remarks from Shawna Lang, who addressed attendees with a message of community spirit and gratitude. She was joined by Kids Committee Chair Judy Peters, who spoke on behalf of the committee and expressed appreciation for the continued support shown by Lodge members and families.

Three age-grouped hunts — 0–3, 4–7, and 8–12 — were organized to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. Children eagerly searched the grounds for brightly colored eggs while families looked on with pride and enthusiasm.

This event was made possible through the dedication of our volunteers. Makenna Guthier and Reese Evans from the Antlers generously contributed their time and assistance throughout the morning, and members of the Kids Committee volunteered in various capacities, from setup and coordination to supporting families and ensuring each hunt ran smoothly. Their commitment exemplifies the Elks’ longstanding tradition of service.

Following the conclusion of the hunt, Cindy once again provided a beautifully prepared lunch for all attendees — a warm, welcoming finish to the morning’s activities. The event also received $176.00 in donations, generously contributed by guests in support of future Kids Committee programs and community events.

The Elks Kids Committee extends its sincere thanks to all volunteers, families, and Lodge members who contributed to the success of this year’s Easter Egg Hunt. We look forward to continuing our mission of providing meaningful, family-centered events for our community.
