Elk of the Month — Judy Peters
Submitted by Clint Tompkins, Exalted Ruler
Please join us in congratulating Judy Peters, our Elk of the Month!
Judy works tirelessly to create wonderful events that bring our Elks kids and their families together. Through her dedication to our youth programs, she also helps introduce children and families throughout our community to the Elks, showing them firsthand the positive impact our organization makes in the lives of young people.
Judy understands that these events are about more than just having fun. They create lasting memories, strengthen family connections, and give children opportunities to learn, grow and feel part of something special. Her hard work and enthusiasm help make these programs successful and keep our Lodge connected to the next generation.
And Judy isn’t slowing down. She is already helping plan our upcoming Elks Hoop Shoot and Soccer Shoot events before the end of the year. Her continued commitment ensures that even more children will have opportunities to participate, build confidence, and experience the encouragement and support that Elks youth programs provide.
A quick note about our youth programs
A few members have asked about the difference between our Elks Kids and Youth Activities committees. While they sometimes work hand in hand, they serve two different groups. Elks Kids focuses specifically on the children and family members of Phoenix Elks Lodge #335 members, including members’ children, grandchildren and stepchildren. Youth Activities focuses on reaching children throughout our community and introducing them to the Elks through fun, educational and rewarding activities.
Sometimes these programs overlap when our Elks Kids take part in Youth Activities events, bringing our Lodge family and the broader community together. Both committees play an important role in supporting children, building relationships and carrying the spirit of Elkdom into the next generation.
Judy, thank you for the countless hours you put into making these events special and for helping our Lodge build lasting relationships with our Elks families and our community. Your dedication reflects the very best of Elkdom and our commitment to supporting America’s youth.
Congratulations, Judy, and thank you for helping Phoenix Elks Lodge #335 make a difference — one child and one family at a time!
