Elks 2025–2026 Award Night: And the Award Goes To…
Celebrating a year of service under Exalted Ruler Karen Seaman
During the 2025–2026 year under the leadership of Exalted Ruler Karen Seaman, the Lodge recognized many dedicated members for their service, leadership, and commitment to the success of the Lodge. The annual awards presentation highlights volunteers whose efforts help keep Lodge programs active and thriving throughout the year.
Olympic Awards went to Ritual Coaches Al Kayal, PDDGER, PSP; Diane Bodwell, DDGER; Bill Darr, PDDGER; Randy Sterling, PER; and Word Judge Mengo Darr. Among the Trustees, Clem Brown, PER, and Terry Jones received Trophy Awards, while Al Kayal, Marty Griffith, PER, and Ken Stewart earned Olympic Awards.
Heather Leal received a Trophy Award for Ecom 1, joined by Olympic Award winners Daniel McDermott and Nadine Lucas. Entertainment honors went to Larry Bodwell, PDDGER, and Nicole Beach. In the Food category, Cindy Pendergrass received both an Olympic Award and the Rich Becker Award, with Lori Bowe also earning an Olympic Award.
Additional Olympic Awards recognized Kathy Allasia for Veteran Recognition, Jeff Beasley for Public Relations, and “Super Handyman” Rick Pojman.
Several members were also honored with Grand Lodge Awards recognizing outstanding service and dedication to the Lodge: Officer of the Year Brenda Kayal, Lodge Secretary; Citizen of the Year Al Kayal, PDDGER, PSP; Outstanding Members of the Year Linda Thompson and Randy Doescher, PER; and Elk of the Year Jim Bowe.
The evening also included a surprise award presentation and a special musical performance by Lodge Esquire Shawna Lang. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees, and thank you for keeping Lodge #335 thriving.
