Remembering Ken Stewart — Celebration of Life September 27
The Lodge mourns a beloved Past Trustee and remembers two longtime Life Members.
Ken Stewart, Life Member and beloved Past Trustee of Phoenix Elks Lodge #335, passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 83. Born February 19, 1943, Ken will be remembered for his friendship, leadership, dedication, and many years of service to the Lodge and those around him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 27, from 12:00–3:00 PM at Phoenix Elks Lodge #335, 14424 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85032. His presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
The Lodge also mourns two other Brothers, whose Lodges of Sorrow were read on the floor at the Lodge meeting on August 20.
Brother John F. Smith, Life Member, was born in Mountours Falls, NY on June 19, 1926 and passed away on July 10, 2026. John was initiated into membership on December 10, 1956, and elected to Life Membership on December 10, 1991. He was 100 years old at the time of his passing and a 76-year member of Phoenix Lodge #335.
Brother Larry B. Betts, Life Member, was born in Phoenix, AZ on April 26, 1946 and passed away on July 24, 2026. Larry was initiated into Phoenix Lodge #335 on January 16, 1990, and elected to Life Membership on January 21, 2021. He is survived by his wife Anne.
Our Brothers will be missed but never forgotten by all who knew them. Their virtues are written upon the tablets of love and memory.
