Lounge Bar Renovation Proposed — Member Vote October 15
The Board of Trustees has notified the membership in writing of a Lounge Bar Renovation Project Proposal, necessitated by Maricopa County Environmental Health Department requirements. Because the projected cost exceeds the $25,000 limit imposed by Grand Lodge Statute 16.050 (d), the Trustees managing the project are required to give the membership advance written notice that a motion will be made at the October 15, 2026 Lodge Meeting to approve funding.
Per Statute 16.050 (section k 1–6), the Board of Trustees states the following:
- Purpose of the project: renovation of the Lounge Bar.
- Amount to be expended: anticipated cost will not exceed $60,000.
- Amount of indebtedness to be created: none.
- Property to be mortgaged: none.
- Persons authorized to act for the Lodge: Lodge Trustees.
- Amount to be received by the Lodge: total cost will be covered by Lodge savings.
A motion will be made to put this project funding to a vote by the members attending the October 15, 2026 Lodge Meeting. Membership approval of the motion by a 2/3 majority will initiate a request to the Grand Lodge for approval.
Upon final approval from the Grand Lodge, the contracts may be signed by the Board of Trustees and work may commence. Members who want a voice in this decision are encouraged to attend the October 15 Lodge Meeting.
