Phoenix Elks Riders Launch First Event with a Roaring Success
Submitted by Linda (Alpha) Acritelli, Phoenix Elks Riders President
On Sunday, September 27, the newly chartered Phoenix Elks Riders kicked off their first event at Phoenix Elks Lodge #335 — and what a day it was!
More than 100 motorcycle enthusiasts from across the Valley came together for an exciting day of camaraderie, competition, and plenty of Elks spirit. We were thrilled to welcome Elks Riders from Chandler, Flagstaff, Sun City, and Scottsdale, along with several veteran riding groups who joined us for the fun.
The main event, Capture the Flag, brought out everyone’s competitive side. Each participating group had three opportunities to roll five dice, adding the numbers from each roll to build their score. At the end of the competition, the group with the highest total earned the honor of taking the Capture the Flag back to their Lodge or Post for the following week.
But the real winner of the day was the incredible sense of friendship, fellowship, and support shared by everyone in attendance.
A huge thank you goes out to our bartenders, kitchen staff, and dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make our first event such a tremendous success. Your hard work and enthusiasm helped create a day we won’t soon forget.
The Phoenix Elks Riders are proud to have started this new chapter surrounded by so many great people and so much support from Elks Riders throughout Arizona. We can’t wait to see where the road takes us next! 🏍️🇺🇸
Elks Riders — riding together, supporting our communities, and building friendships one mile at a time.
