Desert Shadows Students Honor Police During National Police Week

Hand-drawn thank-you letters and cards from students to Phoenix police officers

During National Police Week, we would like to recognize the amazing students and staff at Desert Shadows Elementary School for showing gratitude and kindness toward our local law enforcement officers.

Kindergarten and fourth grade students took time to write heartfelt thank-you letters to Phoenix Police Department officers, thanking them for helping keep our communities and schools safe every day. These special letters were personally delivered Friday morning alongside donuts and a few student representatives as a small token of appreciation during Officer Appreciation Week.

Great job, Desert Shadows students! Your kindness, respect, and support mean more than you know. Thank you for helping make a difference in our community and for honoring those who serve and protect.
