Thanksgiving Baskets — 225 Families Served
Submitted by Becky Simons, TGB Chair
This year's motto for Thanksgiving Baskets was simple: be flexible. While the program looked a little different this year, the mission remained the same — helping families in need during the holiday season.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our Members and volunteers, we distributed 225 Thanksgiving boxes to schools, active-duty and Veterans families, and families in our local area. Each box supported a family of two or more, providing food for an estimated 450 people. In total, approximately 11,000 pounds of food were distributed.
The success of the program was made possible by the incredible turnout of volunteers. On packing night alone, 92 volunteers, including kids, worked together to assemble the baskets. Their time, energy, and teamwork truly made a difference.
As always, this effort would not be possible without our Members, volunteers, and donors. Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way. You make this program happen, and you make me a proud Member every year.
