Holiday cards prepared for veterans

The Veterans Committee’s next collection project is a simple one, and the items it asks for are the ones veterans in need run short of first.

During December, members are encouraged to donate NEW, full-size toiletries: shampoo and conditioner, body wash, body soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, body lotion, disposable razors, hair brushes and combs. Please make sure your donations include items for both men and women.

The committee also needs NEW socks and underwear in all sizes, again for both men and women.

Volunteers will be needed to help organize, collect and prepare the donations ahead of the bulk pickup on January 4. To volunteer or ask questions, contact Nicole Beach, Veterans Committee Chair, at (602) 679-1319 or nicbeach1@gmail.com.
